Purpose and description of the content of education:
The module aims to provide students with knowledge in the fields of biology of biodeterioration, microbiology, entomology, and the protection of library collections from biological damage. Moreover, students will acquire skills in using physico-chemical methods to combat living organisms. The module's execution primarily ensures that students can practically apply theory, adapting methods and tools from the natural sciences in library activities. This objective is supported by employing activating methods and helping students acquire manual skills while working with library material.
