Purpose and description of the content of education:
The aim of the course is to familiarise students with the basic mechanisms of the widely understood labour market. The course will discuss the basic institutions of the labour market, including among others the legal regulations concerning the bases of employment provided for in the system. It will be necessary to introduce the construction of employee and non-employee employment and outline the differences between them. The course will also cover issues concerning the formation and purpose of the minimum wage. The analysis of labour market issues also requires addressing issues devoted to trade unions, including their meaning and rights. The issues of collective labour law will also be complemented by an explanation of the basic constructs of social dialogue and their importance in the system. The classes will be conducted, inter alia, on the basis of the provisions of the Labour Code, the Act on Promotion of Employment and Labour Market Institutions, the Act on Trade Unions. Upon completion of the classes, students should have knowledge of the laws shaping the labour market.
