Purpose and description of the content of education: | The aim of the module is to familiarize students with the basic political science categories allowing them to understand and analyze global phenomena, such as: globalization, network society, global risk society. Students will also learn the main features of capitalism as a modern globalizing process and become acquainted with the demographic and cultural sources of changes in the modern world. In addition, various possible interpretations of what globalization is and the phenomena related to it will be presented, its history, course and social effects will be analyzed. It is also important to provide knowledge about theoretical approaches to the issue of globalization and to make students aware of the various possibilities of interpretation and further development of this phenomenon. |
