Purpose and description of the content of education:
The task of the subject is to show the genesis of modern Polish administration against the European background. The subject provides a basis for the study of the content and understanding of the social purpose of administrative law, it is intended to facilitate the study of contemporary solutions by comparing them with the solutions, constructions and regulations in force in the past. Teaching includes a historical analysis of the concept of "administration," the formation of the principles of administration, an analysis of the sources of administrative law over the centuries, doctrines influencing administration, systems and techniques of administration, the emergence of the civil servant corps, the development of local self-government, the formation of professional self-government, the concept of administrative control, or the issue of administrative justice. Special emphasis is placed on administration and administrative law in Poland in the 20th century.
