Purpose and description of the content of education:
Ćwiczenia terenowe z Sedymentologii to praktyczne przełożenie wiedzy nabytej przez studenta dotyczącej analizy utworów osadowych w terenie pod względem rozpoznawania ich cech teksturalnych i strukturalnych, procesów sedymentacji i środowiska depozycji oraz ich proweniencji. Dodatkowo student nabywa praktycznych umiejętności sporządzania ogólnego i szczegółowego profilu sedymentologicznego wraz z interpretacją, wykorzystuje pomiary kompasem geologicznym do oceny struktur linijnych i planarnych skał klastycznych, a także stosuje metody wizualizacji statystycznej (diagramy i histogram) do przedstawienia wskaźników procesu sedymentacji na przykładzie skał osadowych. Wymiernym efektem uczestnictwa w ćwiczeniach terenowych jest możliwość zaznajomienia się z różnymi środowiskami sedymentacji skał osadowych w terenie oraz nabycie umiejętności interpretacji procesów sedymentacyjnych na podstawie osadów kopalnych przy użyciu metod i technik wykorzystywanych w naukach o Ziemi.
