Purpose and description of the content of education: | The aim of the module is to present the direct and indirect relations between literature and media in the audiovisual culture of the 20th and 21st centuries, in which the main communicative function is no longer to be performed by the word and print, but by the image (visual, acoustic, auditory) generated by new media. Within the module, the student acquires knowledge of the basic issues of 20th-century literary theory (determinants of literature and literariness), media revolutions and their influence on the poetics and aesthetics of literature in the second half of the 20th and the first decades of the 21st centuries. Selected works will be critically read and phenomena situated on the borders of the field of literature and the field of other media/art will be discussed. |
