Purpose and description of the content of education:
The purpose of the module is to equip the student with knowledge of the legal solutions of banking contracts, which in the practice of trading are concluded by banking institutions with customers (both who are and who are not entrepreneurs), which can be organized into broader groups of contracts related to the deposit activities of banks (bank account agreement, monetary settlements), then contracts in the field of bank lending activities (bank credit agreement, bank loan agreement, including consumer loans and credits), and finally agreements in the field of securing bank receivables arising from banking activities (suretyship, bank guarantee, accession to debt, assumption of debt, assignment of receivables by way of security, pledge, transfer of ownership by way of security, deposit, blocking of funds by way of security, bank mortgage, bank agreements related to dealing in bills of exchange). The subject is also intended to equip the student with knowledge of the role and importance of banking institutions in the financial market, where banks, as so-called financial intermediary institutions, are subject to special legal regulation.
