Purpose and description of the content of education:
The module provides a critical discussion of selected theoretical positions (such as ecodeconstructionism, ecomarxism/ecosocialism, ecocentrism, earth ethics, green anarchism, deep ecology) from an environmental justice perspective. Drawing on some selected theories from the field of environmental ethics and philosophy, the module aims to identify how to understand the concept of environmental justice in the context of contemporary challenges and crises, and what forms its political articulation and social realisation might take.
