Purpose and description of the content of education:
The module offers a set of elective courses in intersectional feminism, which combine theories of gender with a variety of variables such as race, class, sexuality, ethnicity, age, ability/disability, religion, studies of non-human entities etc. The aim of the course is to reflect on the mechanisms responsible for the reproduction of inequality, oppression and exclusion. An intersectional perspective offers a complex analysis of these phenomena, which go beyond traditional conceptual institutions. The proposed subjects will place particular emphasis on the emergence of the phenomenon of violence within the patriarchal-capitalist system. Students will develop the analytical skills and critical tools necessary to understand contemporary mechanisms of power and their relationship to environmental, ecological, climate policies. The range of material analysed will focus on a variety of contemporary cultural texts such as literature, theatre, performance, film, electronic media, visual arts, etc.
