Purpose and description of the content of education: | The module introduces students to the basic techniques of designing interactive multimedia in a web environment. On the theoretical side, the Semantic Web standards, its assumptions and its ontology are discussed. On the practical side, students learn how to create and format web pages and other web applications. The practical nature of the course enables students to see the principles behind many contemporary digital products, and thus gain a greater awareness of the use of the Internet (with emphasis on privacy and security risks and the deliberate design of interfaces that absorb the attention of their users). |
