Purpose and description of the content of education: | The student learns about information and communication systems in tourism. He or she acquires knowledge of the main reservation systems used in tourism and skills in their use. The student knows and is able to use network systems of booking basic tourist services, including portals of transport and accommodation services, he is able to correctly identify and use tourist information sources contained in the network: relevant sources of tourist information on insurance services, diplomatic posts, portals issuing warnings for tourists, information on necessary vaccinations, visas or customs in tourist destination countries. The student is able to accurately select the necessary information and assess its usefulness and correctness. They learn about contemporary trends in tourism (backpacking, coachsurfing) and communication portals related to them. The student acquires skills and knowledge in the field of information and interactive tourist services and modern techniques used in tourism promotion and marketing. He/she learns about modern solutions applied in tourist attractions, museums (interactivity, visitor counters). The student has information on cartographic resources useful in tourism and knows how to use them. |
