Purpose and description of the content of education:
Moduł Nauka o materiałach ma umożliwić studentowi orientowanie się w budowie wewnętrznej (strukturze) materiałów inżynierskich oraz zjawiskach i procesach w nich zachodzących. Dzięki temu student powinna uzyskać zrozumienie korelacji pomiędzy budową wewnętrzną materiałów inżynierskich a ich właściwościami. Zrozumienie zależności i korelacji pomiędzy właściwościami materiałów a ich strukturą ma doprowadzić do pogłębienia umiejętności kształtowania struktury wewnętrznej w celu uzyskania zaprojektowanych właściwości materiałów dla zastosowań technicznych i medycznych.
