Microscopic imaging techniques for materials Field of study: Biomedical Engineering
Programme code: W4-S2IB19.2023

Module name: Microscopic imaging techniques for materials
Module code: 08-IBOM-S2-18-3-MMOM
Programme code: W4-S2IB19.2023
Semester: summer semester 2024/2025
Language of instruction: Polish
Form of verification: exam
ECTS credits: 3
Purpose and description of the content of education:
Moduł Mikroskopowe metody obrazowania materiałów ma umożliwić studentowi/studentce orientowanie się w mikroskopowych metodach badań struktury materiałów oraz ich możliwościach i ograniczeniach. Student/studentka pozna teorię powstawania obrazów mikroskopowych i dyfrakcyjnych oraz spektralnych metod badań biomateriałów. Dzięki temu student/studentka powinna uzyskać umiejętności interpretacji obrazów mikroskopowych i stąd pozyskiwania informacji o strukturze, defektach, składzie fazowym i chemicznym biomateriałów Zrozumienie zależności i korelacji pomiędzy właściwościami biomateriałów a ich strukturą ma doprowadzić do pogłębienia umiejętności kształtowania struktury i właściwości biomateriałów do zastosowań medycznych.
