Purpose and description of the content of education:
The module aims to familiarize students with the fundamental philosophical issues that have been the subject of reflection of Western philosophers from antiquity to the present day. Thus, the peculiarities of Western philosophical thought and its significance against the background of Europe's overall culture and civilization will be shown. Basic philosophical concepts will be discussed, the specialized terminology associated with them, and the elements of logic, allowing to build efficient argumentative strategies and analyze and evaluate the arguments of potential interlocutors. In addition, during the exercises, the student will acquire the critical skills of analyzing and interpreting source texts, creative and abstract thinking, and substantive discussion.
