Purpose and description of the content of education:
The Social Anthropology module is designed to provide students with knowledge of anthropological theories of culture, to familiarize themselves with the specifics of selected field research, terminology and basic issues of discourse around modernity with particular emphasis on the problems of: ethnicity, multiculturalism , identity and cultural relativism. It will also be important to understand the specifics of local cultures themselves - patterns of of everyday life, kinship systems, symbolic practices that make up the image of modern anthropology as a science of the Other.
