Purpose and description of the content of education:
W ramach kursu student zapoznaje się z wybranymi przez prowadzącego najgłośniejszymi utworami literatury polskiej oraz światowej opublikowanymi po roku 2000 (na przykład poezja M. Świetlickiego, J. Podsiadły, E. Tkaczyszyna-Dyckiego, J. Bargielskiej; powieści O. Tokarczuk, A. Stasiuka, D. Masłowskiej, J. Dehnela, S. Twardocha; przekłady J. Andruchowycza, M. Houellebecqa, O. Pamuka, H. Murakamiego). Uzupełnieniem listy lektur literatury pięknej mogą stanowić teksty przynależne literaturze non-fiction (reportaże, wywiady, eseistyka). W ramach kursu, oprócz rozważań analityczno-interpretacyjnych, omawia się podstawowe zagadnienia z zakresu krytyki literackiej, poetyki odbioru, życia literackiego (przyczyny sukcesu, konteksty filozoficzno-ideowe, zmiany oczekiwań odbiorczych). Studenci zapoznają się również z wybranymi opiniami krytycznymi na temat analizowanych dzieł.
