Purpose and description of the content of education: | The AIM of the course is for the student to acquire knowledge about the functioning of the body in disease (pathophysiology) and the basics of the history of medicine, basics of diagnosis, prevention and etiology of diseases. Lectures include an overview of disorders of homeostasis of the body, the most important basis of disorders and physiological limitations that significantly affect their effects on the functioning of individual systems and organs. Practical classes teach students to search for reliable information in the field of pathophysiology and its background, process it and present it during classes. An important element of the exercises is the use of virtual laboratories, films and animations, which allow to bring closer issues that are inaccessible to direct observation. Own work - with a textbook and online data sources, along with recommended virtual lab sites - is used to prepare for laboratory classes, current reports and final credit. |
