Purpose and description of the content of education: | The module presents specialist knowledge in the field of industrial microbiology. Familiarizes the student with the use of microorganisms for the production of both food and non-food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical materials. It gives knowledge about the biosynthesis of biologically active compounds on an industrial scale, as well as the microbiological and technological basis for the production of ethanol and organic acids. He acquaints with the possibilities of microbiological technological disturbances and damage to various industrial products. In the self-conducted experiments, the student learns the characteristics of industrially useful microorganisms, conducts experiments enabling the production of organic acids using industrial methods. Through the analysis, comparison and discussion of the obtained results, it verifies the existing and acquired knowledge, skills and competences. |
