Purpose and description of the content of education:
The student learns about the historical and cultural phenomena that underpin the identity of contemporary Europe, broadens his/her knowledge of the processes characteristic of the epochs in question, learns to combine the interpretations of these processes with the achievements of the relevant research schools. The student acquires the competence to recognise selected characteristic cultural phenomena and facts that influenced the specificity of the given epoch and the formation of the cultural tradition of Europe.
