Purpose and description of the content of education:
The aim of the module is to introduce the ways of understanding and defining the term modernism (historical and contemporary). Within the module, the student acquires competences in analysing and interpreting literary works representing various literary trends of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, reading them in the context of the realities of literary life at the time, philosophical concepts and aesthetic categories relevant to the period. Be able to identify those features of the works analysed which have left their mark on contemporary literary consciousness.
