Purpose and description of the content of education: | The module is to develop the ability to recognize and diagnose threats related to dysfunctions in a modern democracy. In a laboratory, based on prepared materials, students specify the legal, institutional, economic, social and cultural conditions necessary for the functioning of democratic systems. Next, they focus on identifying potential threats in the dangerous tendencies present in the modern world regarding the erosion of democracy: devaluation of legislation, increase in radicalism, increase in social tensions and discrimination, lack of civic involvement, and increase in authoritarian tendencies. |
