Purpose and description of the content of education:
The aim of the module is for the student to gain knowledge about the structure, principles of operation and research capabilities of the equipment used in spectacle optics and optometry. As part of the course, students will acquire knowledge about selected measurement techniques used by an optometrist, which include: skiascopy, ophthalmoscopy, biomicroscopy, refractometry, keratometry, keratotopography, rotating Scheimpflug camera, optical coherent emission tomography (OCT), perimetry, ultrasonography (USG). As part of the laboratory, the student will acquire practical skills.
