Purpose and description of the content of education:
The aim of the module is to provide information on visual perception. During the course, the student will acquire the necessary knowledge and understanding of the physical and physiological aspects of vision including the principals of psychophysical measurements, visual detection, visual discrimination, visual search and attention and binocular vision. The aim of the module is to discuss issues in the following thematic areas: visual pathway, colour vision, space perception, form perception, light perception, motion perception, temporal perception, psychophysical and scaling method and theory, signal detection methods and theory.
