Purpose and description of the content of education: | As part of the module, students acquire theoretical knowledge in the field of visual communication: they become familiar with terminology, learn facts from the history of design, gain orientation in the trends of development of visual technologies, learn techniques and tools for analyzing visual messages, learn to perceive the specificity of visual messages and analyze various aspects (personal - physiological and psychological, sociological, technological, etc.) of their functioning in social life. Students acquire general methodological knowledge of the principles of graphic design, including issues of composition, color selection, typography, as well as the stages of the visual design process. The primary goal of the lecture series is to prepare students to critically analyze and, in perspective, design effective visual messages on their own. |
