Purpose and description of the content of education: | The course aims to indicate the role and place of elections in the political system. During the course, students learn about the motivations of electoral behavior and relate them to existing theoretical models referring to political behavior (sociological model, psychological model, economic model in prospective and retrospective variant, problem voting, marketing model). Phenomena and processes related to electoral behavior (e.g., political identification - including negative identification, prospective and retrospective motivations, and the impact of personalization of political strategies on electoral behavior) are shown based on current electoral research conducted in Poland and other democratic countries. |
