Purpose and description of the content of education:
The aim of the module is for students to achieve an advanced level of knowledge in the field of political history of Poland after World War II until the present day. Particular attention will be paid to the evolution of the political system and the development of the political scene. However, the module will also cover topics related to economic reforms, cultural and social changes. After completing the module, students should be able to find the historical roots of problems present in the contemporary internal and foreign policy of the Third Republic of Poland, and thus deepen their understanding. They should also be able to use historical analogies to analyze contemporary events.
