Purpose and description of the content of education:
The purpose of the module is to introduce the student to selected anthropological issues concerning the various ways in which the body functions. The classes will allow the student to gain the necessary theoretical knowledge of the different perspectives on how to perceive the body - on the one hand as a biological organism governed by physiology and drives, on the other - as a social organism modelled by culture. The classes will address selected categories, such as e.g., food, space, beauty and fitness, sickness and health, cleanliness and dirtiness, death.
