Purpose and description of the content of education:
The module is based on the analysis of the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of humanity, with particular emphasis on Polish examples. The student is introduced to cultural heritage terminology, basic research orientations, and legal acts, especially the UNESCO 1972 World Heritage Convention concerning the Protection of the Cultural and Natural World Heritage and the UNESCO 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage. Examples of good practices in heritage protection and its use in educational and popularization activities, as well as in the economy and creative sectors are discussed.
