Purpose and description of the content of education:
Edukacja i rehabilitacja osób z niepełnosprawnością intelektualną to moduł rozszerzający wiedzę na temat edukacji osób z niepełnosprawnością oraz wprowadzający w problematykę rehabilitacji tej grupy. Celem zajęć jest zapoznanie studentów z specjalistyczną wiedzą dotyczącą procesów socjalizacji, wychowania, kształcenia oraz rehabilitacji (ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem rehabilitacji społecznej) osób z niepełnosprawnością intelektualną. Treści modułu obejmują zatem problematykę organizacji kształcenia, wielowymiarowego i wsparcia, opieki omawianej grupy osób w rożnych instytucjach, także związków omawianych procesów z rehabilitacja społeczną. Celem zajęć jest również zapoznanie studentów z kulturowymi, ekonomicznymi i społecznymi aspektami codzienności osób z niepełnosprawnością intelektualną oraz historyczną ewolucją postaw wobec nich, a także rozwojem instytucji podejmujących trud edukacji, rehabilitacji, opieki osób z niepełnosprawnością intelektualną. Ważne by w trakcie zajęć studenci nabyli prawidłowych postaw wobec osób z zaburzeniami, wdrożyli się do ciągłego aktualizowania swojej wiedzy i systematycznego działania na rzecz osób niepełnosprawnych w środowiskach lokalnych. Zakłada się, że wszystkie efekty uczenia się modułu będą realizowane w trakcie zajęć dydaktycznych w bezpośrednim i/lub pośrednim kontakcie z wykładowcą akademickim oraz podczas pracy własnej studenta.

W zakresie umiejętności absolwent potrafi analizować podstawy edukacji i rehabilitacji osób z niepełnosprawnością intelektualną, cele pedagogiki tych osób i jej zadania – ujęcie historyczne, koncepcje, modele i definicje niepełnosprawności intelektualnej; określać miejsce ucznia z niepełnosprawnością intelektualną w systemach edukacji w Polsce i innych państwach; definiować osobowość i kompetencje nauczyciela (wychowawcy); analizować i określać potrzeby i zadania rozwojowe osób z niepełnosprawnością intelektualnąw różnych okresach życia.
