Purpose and description of the content of education:
Moduł "Polimery dla medycyny" pozwala studentowi/studentce na zdobycie informacji z zakresu polimerowych materiałów wykorzystywanych do celów medycznych. Dzięki temu student/studentka powinien/powinna być zdolny/a do dokonania klasyfikacji wspomnianych materiałów oraz wyróżnienia kluczowych kryteriów ich doboru. Powinna także mieć świadomość zachodzenia procesów biodegradacji i skutków ich oddziaływania na organizm ludzki. Zrozumienie powiązania pomiędzy strukturą chemiczną, fazową na różnych poziomach organizacji i stanem powierzchni materiałów polimerowych, a ich właściwościami użytkowymi pozwoli na świadomy wybór materiału do wskazanej aplikacji. Wybór ten oparty jest także na orientacji w bieżących trendach rozwoju chemii materiałów polimerowych wykorzystywanych w celach medycznych.
