Description: | The subject is to build geopolitics knowledge for students who started political science at the 1st degree of studies. The object is to present geopolitics as a specific and interdisciplinary research approach that examines the relationship between the centre of power (not necessarily the state) and space (mainly geographic). The main research areas of geopolitics focus on five thematic threads: (1) spatial rivalry, (2) economic rivalry, (3) concepts of international order, (4) geopolitical codes and (5) geopolitical ideas. |
Prerequisites: | The student should have the basic knowledge acquired during his secondary education, including the state and international relations theory. Simultaneously, the listener should know at least the introductory political science terms. |
