Description:
Students will learn about the director-producer cooperation and communication among new media creators. The student will become familiar with the basic features of the director's and producer's work and the pros and cons of cooperation from the point of view of its participants. The main topics covered during the module will include: learning the principles of cooperation, developing skills and competencies related to the activities of pre-production, production, and post-production, methods of analyzing the needs and requirements of the director and producer, and planning activities that are the result of cooperation between the producer and director. The student will learn about the different stages of pre-production, production, and post-production of films, specifying the stages during which the cooperation between the director and producer is crucial for the final success and the most intensive. Students will learn how to secure the material resources needed to meet the budget and requirements set by the director and film crew. In addition, the student will become familiar with various aspects of the producer's work, such as raising funds and the creative work of the producer on the film, as previously agreed with the director.
Prerequisites:
The student should have a general knowledge of filmmaking's pre-production, production, and post-production phases.

The student will take an oral test on the general knowledge of the cooperation between a director and a producer, the knowledge of combining the specificity of the work of a director and a producer, and the differences arising from the different approaches to the film work of these two filmmakers.

The current assessment of the individual student work is the average of grades from tasks performed during the exercises. The student prepares examples of cooperation between the producer and the director based on concrete examples.

Didactic classes of a practical nature are conducted with an activating method - work in small groups. The student will independently prepare to work with a director or producer based on materials prepared by the student.

Individuals realize the material indicated in the syllabus and analyze examples selected by the lecturer, repeating and consolidating knowledge and skills acquired during the classes.
