Zajęcia mają na celu: wprowadzenie w zagadnienia translatoryki, zapoznanie studentów z podstawowymi formami tłumaczenia ustnego – tłumaczeniem à vista, konsekutywnym (wraz z jego różnymi rodzajami) i symultanicznym, przedstawienie podstawowych technik pomocnych w pracy tłumacza ustnego (tworzenie notatek), gruntowna analiza tekstu pod kątem jego przekładu, doskonalenie kompetencji studentów w zakresie języka ojczystego.
